Tasmania Part Two - What a terrific place to visit.

Sisters Beach - a great view of the Nut.

A  couple of good looking locals.
A great way to start the day - A stroll on the beach before breakfast.

The blackberries found on the roadside bushes are quite tasty.

Ocean Beach in Strahan, a very well thought out beach name?????

The sea plane at Strahan harbour.
We boarded the Heritage cruise in Strahan for a day long site see.

The lighthouse which assists boats into Macquarie Harbour, through a narrow entrance called Hells Gates.
The convict breakwall still holds the water back.
Hells Gates - entrance to the Harbour.

The Sarah Island guided tour, Beau was a terrific presenter who explained the history of the island in a fun way.

 Our transport for the day.
 Pristine waters.
 Reflections!!!!
Rainforest walk - Yes, rainforest in Tasmania.
Tasmania is home to three snake species , all of them poisonous, this is our first Tiger snake. He is a big one and looks quite full , which is pleasing. The other snakes are the White lip snake ( also called the whip snake) and the Copperhead snake.

Harry and Jackson take over the boat.

Karen also takes over the wheel.

We pick the pace up a bit. Further up stream, the boat is not permitted to make a wash that will disturb the river bank.
