Braybrook, a suburb of Melbourne- our base for our CBD experiences.

Public transport is our means of transport. This is our bus route to MCG.
A visit the Rod Laver Arena & various courts, home of the Australian Tennis Open.

A treat - touching the sacred MCG.
Player's tunnel for visiting teams.
Simon O'Donnell holds the record for the biggest six at the MCG. The light coloured seat replaces the seat his mighty six smashed. This is in the second tier of seats. A mighty slog.
Pitch preparation is under way for the S>A and Victoria shield match.
A top view of the pitch.
Back on the ground, Jackson and Harry listen intently to the guides every word.
Ricky Ponting & Michael Clarke sat in the dressing room on these seats when England beat the Aussies in the Boxing day test match.
In the National Sports Museum, interactive games galore.
Karen tries her luck at the Netball challenge.
Harry nails the Football ( soccer) challenge.
A visit to the CBD, bus trip again.
The Lloyds catch up with the Holly & Chloe Roser in Melbourne.
Catching the trams in Melbourne. Harry and Jackson think the trams are cool.
Even the old talking tram, even though this one is very slow.
Sandy and Karen show off their shopping bargains.
 Flemington Family Day
The Shute, Johnson, Roser and Lloyd families catch up for a great day at Flemington Racecoarse.
Fashions on the field - Sandy & Chloe dress up for the day.
Jackson, Sam and Harry settle for the ice creams.
George passes on the latest tips straight from his successful brother.
Makybe Diva - a triple Melbourne Cup winner.
Rabbits at the races??????
A Race day dinner with our good buddies the Shutes, Rosers and Johnsons.
The gang at the finishing post.
 Harry turns green with envy!!!!!

 Stylish glasses Haz.
The final day in Melbourne. A stinking hot day at the zoo. This lion just kicked back and licked his lips - life is good.
After the seal show, "ice creams please mums and dads!!!"
An awesome view from the large tree in the middle of the zoo.

 AHH, our ship awaits.
The Spirit of Tasmania will take our car, van and family to the apple Isle - Tasmania.

The Lemur becomes our official trip mascot and the song "I like to move it, move it " becomes the trip anthem.
Parking on board is well organised and many vehicles can fit.

Our home and car tucked up and ready for the Bass Strait voyage.
A view out of our porthole cabin. Thankfully, the sea was kind to us and the trip of 9 hours was relatively smooth and we all slept pretty good.
Departure time.

Bye Bye Melbourne.
