Tallangatta, Victoria to Mount Beauty, Victoria

A short trip to Mount Beauty.
Harry and Jackson check out the fast flowing Kiewa River, Mount Beauty.
Our lovely home.
Some nice flat rocks found on the river. Loads of Rainbow rout as well.
4 minutes till dinner.
The boys played in the river for ages.
The Mt Beauty BMX  track - mum takes on son.

Over the jumps , can Harry's skinny legs make it?
Nice air Jackson!!!!

Can you be serious Harry?
Jackson shoots a fly with the fly gun.
Set up for the weekend.
Junction Dam, Bogong Village. The gang are about to walk through the Junction Dam.
Phew , we made it.
The moss trees of Lake Guy & Junction Dam.
Walking through the dam.
Bush walking to the Feinter Falls. Watch out for snakes. We were warned at the start of the trail.
Halfway, no snakes. We'll make this.
The flies are massive, this is just a baby.
AHHHH, the falls.
We made it. You wouldn't believe it. Karen and Jackson walked straight over a snake and Harry, third in line jumped backwards and out of its way. The shock of this got the heart racing. Subsequently the return trip to the car was much quicker than on the way in.
The Rocky Storage reservoir at FAlls Creek , all part of the Hydro - Electricity program operating whereby water passes through three electricity plants on the way down to mount Beauty. The water is tunnelled most of the way. Therefore, the water is used three times to produce electricity and also returned to the river. The river remains in its natural state.
A Rainbow trout, caught on Harry's rod and with a frozen prawn for bait. We did return the fish as we already had dinner cooked.

Glenrowan and Ned Kelly was next.
Ned seems to be a little bigger than I thought he would be.
Somebody in Glenrowan must have met our lovely Harry. Try getting him to do the washing and wiping up.

What a great place to ride bikes, fun yet beautiful at the same time. That jungle looks like Jurassic Park, and say hi to Ned for me.

P.S.
Nice House
