Mount Isa accommodation was found in the local RSL carpark, we stayed for 2 nights.
Cloncurry - we stayed at Wal's camp.
Lawn Hill - we camped at Adel's Grove
Karumba - the local van park.
Heading for Lawn Hill National Park.
Hint : Move over when a road train is coming on a single lane road.
Then we hit dirt.

Oh, and the dust, the caravan & car are coping a hiding.

Fresh water crocs reside here but do not hassle the swimmers.!!!!!!!
The challenge : to canoe the three gorges of Lawn Hill.
The team who displays the best team work wins the right
to hand out the lollies (snakes) on the next car trip.

After a 36 degree day at the Riversleigh dinosaur dig, we needed another swim.

On the road to Karumba via Normanton.
450 kilometres down the track we arrive at the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Jackson, Harry & dad hit the Gulf for a spot of fishing.
The following charter was exceptional value and provided an awesome experience for the Lloyd boys.
We set off into the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Our motley crew - Gilligan 1 and Gilligan 2.
After a slow start the fish begin to bite and we end up with a terrific catch,
mainly blue nosed threadfin salmon.

Jackson caught the biggest fish at 78cm, which was donated to the skipper.

Sustainable fishing . We caught and released most of the catch. We took home 4 fish.
