Taste test day

Last night we caught 3 squid and 2 cuttlefish off the Busselton Jetty, (this jetty is 1.8 kilometres long and we fished on the one kilometre mark), they were prepared in a salt and pepper mix and cooked in  butter on a sizzling BBQ, this turned out to be a pretty special meal.

Today, Sunday the 22nd May we ventured off for a trip to Margaret River. There were many fantastic places to stop and we took the time to see as many as we could.

We tasted, in no particular order:

Venison Kranskies
Emu Ham,
Coat of Arms Chorizo ( ie emu and Kangaroo)
Olive & lime ice cream.
Eagle Bay olives
Macadamia pesto
A variety of Dukkahs.
Artichoke and olive tapenade.

And the day was finished off with a visit to the Candy Cow for a load of candy, all of the highest quality.

The surf at Margaret River was quite big and we watched a few brave souls take on the bigger waves.

To date, we are all coping well in the van and the journey seems to be getting better and better.

We have travelled to a few caravan parks and caught up with the same family at a few of them.

We have become good friends with Vitelli family who happen to come from Engadine, just up the road from the Gong. Scott and Carina have been great company during daily outings and over a few bevvies after the kids go to sleep.

Angus, Hannah and Owen have become good friends with Jackson and Harry. All the kids get along quite well.

Cheers
The Lloyds.
